Cross-chain deals and adversarial commerce

چکیده

Abstract Modern distributed data management systems face a new challenge: how can autonomous, mutually distrusting parties cooperate safely and effectively? Addressing this challenge brings up familiar questions from classical systems: to combine multiple steps into single atomic action, recover failures, synchronize concurrent access data. Nevertheless, each of these issues requires rethinking when participants are autonomous potentially adversarial. We propose the notion cross-chain deal , way structure complex computations that manage assets in an adversarial setting. Deals inspired by transactions, but necessarily different, important ways, accommodate decentralized untrusting nature exchange. describe novel safety liveness properties, along with two alternative protocols for implementing deals system independent blockchain ledgers. One protocol, based on synchronous communication, is fully decentralized, while other, semi-synchronous globally shared ledger. also prove some degree centralization required communication model.

A quantitative foundation for defining and manipulating deals to facilitate automated e-commerce

We propose a goal programming framework that aims at automating e-commerce transactions. This framework consists of three basic layers: deal definition—defining the deal’s parameters and associated constraints (e.g., item, price, delivery dates); deal manipulation—a collection of procedures for shaping deals to attain desired goals (e.g., earliest delivery and minimum price) and an applications...

eCommerceGAN : A Generative Adversarial Network for E-commerce

E-commerce companies such as Amazon, Alibaba and Flipkart process billions of orders every year. However, these orders represent only a small fraction of all plausible orders. Exploring the space of all plausible orders could help us better understand the relationships between the various entities in an e-commerce ecosystem, namely the customers and the products they purchase. In this paper, we...

Feature Cross-Substitution in Adversarial Classification

The success of machine learning, particularly in supervised settings, has led to numerous attempts to apply it in adversarial settings such as spam and malware detection. The core challenge in this class of applications is that adversaries are not static data generators, but make a deliberate effort to evade the classifiers deployed to detect them. We investigate both the problem of modeling th...

Unsupervised Generative Adversarial Cross-modal Hashing

Cross-modal hashing aims to map heterogeneous multimedia data into a common Hamming space, which can realize fast and flexible retrieval across different modalities. Unsupervised cross-modal hashing is more flexible and applicable than supervised methods, since no intensive labeling work is involved. However, existing unsupervised methods learn hashing functions by preserving inter and intra co...

Cross-language Learning with Adversarial Neural Networks

We address the problem of cross-language adaptation for question-question similarity reranking in community question answering, with the objective to port a system trained on one input language to another input language given labeled training data for the first language and only unlabeled data for the second language. In particular, we propose to use adversarial training of neural networks to l...
